Privacy policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026. This policy covers every board in the Outbid network — the network hub (outbidnetwork.lol) and each category domain (richestperson.lol, outbidbrands.lol, outbidsports.lol, etc.).
1. Who we are
Outbid runs a network of “rank is the bid” leaderboards. People pay to claim a rank for a business or handle, and brands run demand validation campaigns on top of the same boards. We are the “data fiduciary” for the personal data described here, as defined under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”).
2. What personal data we collect
We collect only what the platform needs to work:
- Account email and name — when you create an account (signup), so we can operate your account, verify it by email, and sign you in.
- Optional email at bid time — the bid form’s email field is optional. If you provide it, it links the listing you’re paying for to your account so we can attribute your spend and let you manage the listing. It is never shown publicly on the board.
- Public board content you submit — your handle/name, link, country and one-line bio are displayed publicly on the board by design. That’s the product.
- Delivery email for rewards — if you earn a gift voucher, you give us the email to deliver it to. Collected only at reward time.
- Payment data — handled by our payment processor. For bids and campaign fees we use Dodo Payments as a Merchant of Record, so your card details go directly to Dodo’s PCI-compliant checkout and are never stored by us.
- Usage analytics (only with your consent) — see the Cookie Policy. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them.
3. Why we collect it, and the legal basis
Under the DPDP Act, personal data is processed only for a lawful purpose and only after a notice and your consent. We collect emails for these specific purposes:
- To create, secure and operate your account (signup email, verification emails, password reset) — purpose: account.
- To link a paid listing to your account so your spend is attributed to you and you can manage the listing you paid for — purpose: bid attribution.
- To deliver a reward you’ve earned (gift voucher) to the address you provide — purpose: payout delivery.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations for payments processed through the network — processed on the basis of legal compliance.
Consent is free, specific, informed and unconditional: it’s given by a clear affirmative action (a checked box or explicit choice), you’re never penalised for declining (every email field is optional unless it’s required to create an account), and you can withdraw consent at any time as easily as you gave it. Every consent is recorded with the email, purpose, time and source for our records.
4. How we use and share your data
We use your data only for the purposes above. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party marketing. We share it only with:
- Payment processors (Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record, and email/SMTP providers used to send verification mail) — they act on our instructions and only get what’s needed to do the job.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4) — only after you accept analytics cookies, and only aggregated usage data; see the Cookie Policy.
- Authorities — if we’re legally required to disclose data, we will, to the extent required by law.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to run the network (session, security and your consent choice). Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them. Full details of every cookie, its purpose and its lifetime are in our Cookie Policy; you can change your choice at any time from the footer’s “Cookie preferences” link.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as the purpose needs it:
- Account data — for as long as your account exists. Delete your account (Settings → Privacy) and we erase or anonymise it.
- Payment and bid records — kept to support the board, resolve chargebacks/disputes, and meet tax and accounting obligations. Public rank data stays on the board (that’s what people paid for); personal identifiers attached to it (email, owner link) are removed when an account is deleted.
- Consent records — kept as evidence of your consent, and removed when the associated account or purpose is deleted.
7. Your rights under the DPDP Act
As a data principal you have the right to:
- Access — know what personal data we hold about you. Sign in and use Settings → Privacy → Download my data to get a copy as a file.
- Correction — have inaccurate data corrected. Contact us (below) and we’ll fix it.
- Erasure — have your personal data erased. Use Settings → Privacy → Delete my account, or contact us.
- Withdraw consent — change your cookie choices from the footer, and stop any other processing by deleting your account (since account email is needed to operate the account). Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent.
- Grievance redressal — complain to us (below); if you’re not satisfied you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Children’s data
The network is intended for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children. Under the DPDP Act a child is anyone under 18, and their data may only be processed with verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child’s data has been submitted, contact us and we’ll delete it.
9. International transfers
Your data may be processed by our processors in countries outside India (for example our hosting and payment providers). We rely on processors that provide adequate protection or appropriate safeguards for your data, in line with the DPDP Act.
10. Grievance redressal and contact
If you have any question, complaint, or request about your personal data, contact our grievance officer:

We acknowledge grievances within 7 days and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may make a complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the network or the law evolves. When we do, the “Last updated” date above changes and, for material changes, we’ll notify you on the site. By using the network after a change, you accept the updated policy.
This privacy policy works together with our Cookie Policy, network rules and refund policy.
